Ian
Hunt, regarded as one of the finest male rock vocalists in the UK. His vocal and guitar style are much in demand from the large advertising corporations such as Nescafe, Rover, Bounty, Rock Circus, National Express, Suchard, American Express, Cadbury's and numerous others. Ian
is one of the world’s leading session vocalists used for the sound of
Rock-Soul-Blues legend Joe Cocker and his classic bluesy voice has been

comes from a line of great British guitarists that made their name
during the folk and acoustic boom period of the seventies, with Ian in
particular establishing himself as one of the finest of finger style
guitarists in the country. His o During
the seventies Ian Hunt was noted as being one of the top guitarists of
the acoustic folk scene touring throughout Europe and the
USA. Ian
Hunt was also an artist on Ian ’Folk Roots’ Anderson’s record
label, ’Village Thi Through
the years he formed working collaborations with musicians Al Stewart,
Steve Tilston, Michael Chapman and Andy Taylor to name a few, as well as
being noted for his works by top producers such as Richard Niles. Ian
has appeared on many albums of these and other artists to enhance their
work both vocally and with his stylish guitar playing including several
albums and tours with Tom Paxton. Ian
has appeared at numerous festivals the world over including the
prestigious 'Montreaux International Jazz Festival'. His
guitar playing is much in demand for library works and can often be
heard on television and film. He
has recorded, most notably, for world leading library music specialists
’De Woolfe’. Ian
is also a member of Equity and has appeared in several notable
television productions including the BBC’s, ’The Student Prince’
with Robson Greene. Highly
respected orchestra leader and composer David Palmer, who was
responsible for a series of albums featuring the
‘Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ and covering the works of The
Beatles, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Queen and Yes, required a special
vocalist to cover the works of Pink Floyd ….. Ian was the vocal choice
to lead the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra featuring also, ’Genesis’
guitarist Steve Hackett and original ’Floyd’ backing vocalist, Clare
Torry Today,
Ian’s music is a blend of Country Blues featuring familiar tunes as
well as his own original compositions as featured on his album
‘Heading South’. Ian’s
music today draws upon the influential sound’s of yesteryears heroes
such as Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy and Jelly Roll Morton as well
as their modern day counterparts such as Taj Mahal, J.J.Cale, Bob Dylan
and Little Feat amongst others but all re-worked in Ian’s own
inimitable style that places Ian at the forefront of the current live
scene. 2009
will see Ian touring Europe and recording his next album. In
concert, Ian is available solo or with selected high calibre musicians
making for duo and band performances.
